Flu and COVID-19 Shots

Starting in October 2024, updated flu and COVID-19 immunizations that offer better protection against the latest virus strains are available in B.C. Everyone 6 months or older can get free updated flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same time. Starting October 8, notifications with a direct booking link are being sent out, beginning with priority populations and then to everyone else registered in the Get Vaccinated System until early November.

Invitations will roll out, beginning with priority populations, including:

• Seniors (65+)
• Pregnant people
• Indigenous peoples
• Health-care workers
• Residents in long-term care facilities
• People with chronic health conditions (e.g., cancer, hepatitis C, diabetes)

IF YOU'VE RECEIVED A DOSE OF A COVID VACCINE IN B.C, YOU'RE ALREADY REGISTERED WITH THE GET VACCINATED SYSTEM

You only need to register once. You will receive an email or SMS text when it's time to book your next appointment.
Further, you shall be able to select JC Pharmacy (preferred location) at the time of your booking.

If you haven't received a COVID-19 Vaccine in B.C.
Register in the Get Vaccinated system to receive your invitation to book an appointment.

1. Register with the Get Vaccinated system
Getting Registered is the first step to getting vaccinated. You can register yourself or someone else, like a parent, grandparent or child. To complete registration, you need to provide a Personal Health Number. After registration, you will receive a text, email or phone call when it's your turn to book a vaccine appointment.

2. Book your vaccine appointment
After you register, you will be sent a booking invitation link. Use the link to book your vaccine appointment online or by phone.
